The following motion was adopted Oct. 2005:

Recognition of Prince Hall Grand Lodges 

      That insofar as the Grand Lodge of Connecticut was in the forefront and
led in the recognition of our Prince Hall Affiliate Brothers in 1989, and
whereas numerous other Grand Lodges throughout North America have extended
recognition to the respective Prince Hall Affiliates within their
jurisdictions, and whereas, several Prince Hall Affiliates from other
jurisdictions have requested recognition from the Grand Lodge of Connecticut,
that it therefore be resolved that On this 15th day of October 2005, A.L.
6005, the Grand Lodge of Connecticut, A.F. & A.M. hereby recognizes, and will
in the future recognize - without further Grand Lodge vote, each Prince Hall
Grand Lodge that does not state that it does not want to be recognized by our
Grand Lodge, and that is recognized, and continues to be recognized, by: 

        1. The Grand Lodge in its jurisdiction which our Grand Lodge already
recognizes - so long as that Grand Lodge does not object to our Grand Lodge
recognizing the Prince Hall Grand Lodge in its jurisdiction; 

        2. The Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Connecticut - so long as the Prince
Hall Grand Lodge of Connecticut does not object to our recognizing the Prince
Hall Grand Lodge in the sister jurisdiction.; 
Said recognition by our Grand Lodge of a Prince Hall Grand Lodge in another
jurisdiction will be to the same extent as the recognition accorded to the
Grand Lodge of Connecticut, Prince Hall Affiliates by the Grand Lodge of
Connecticut, A.F. & A.M. 

Further, it will be the responsibility of the Committee on Fraternal Relations
to provide the office of the Grand Secretary with a list and future updates of
Prince Hall Grand Lodges in other jurisdictions that meet the standards
described in this resolution and which are thus recognized by our Grand Lodge.

A copy of the list of recognized Prince Hall Grand Lodges and future updates
will be distributed by the Grand Secretary's office to each constituent Lodge
in our jurisdiction periodically. 

     The office of the Grand Secretary will contact each Prince Hall Grand
Lodge that is on the list of Prince Hall Grand Lodges recognized by the Grand
Lodge of Connecticut, A.F. & A.M., and attempt to establish the exchange of
Grand Representatives.
